OCRR / Data resilience
Examine availability, integrity and recovery arrangements in the context of the services that depend on your data. Bring recovery objectives and assumptions into a clearer business view.
What we provide
Your overall OCRR rating is supported by four connected discipline results. These are the areas of information explored within data resilience, with organisation-specific detail developed through Guided.
Findings on how data availability affects critical services and employees’ ability to resume work.
A review of the assumptions around trustworthy data, backup, retention and restoration arrangements.
Questions and capability gaps to investigate through restore evidence and usable-service checks.
From information to decisions
The assessment makes assumptions visible and highlights what needs closer review.
Decision question Which services and people depend on the data being available?
Information and evidence to review Critical data requirements, application dependencies and access arrangements.
Decision question Do existing arrangements support the recovery position being assessed?
Information and evidence to review Backup scope, retention policies, recovery objectives and stated limitations.
Decision question Can restored data be used with confidence in the required service?
Information and evidence to review Restore results, integrity checks and evidence of usable business access.
Use the findings to prioritise data recovery questions and evidence. OCRR does not itself perform a data discovery scan, restore test or technical integrity validation.
How the detail develops
A no-cost, five-page Executive Summary within 2 days, including the overall OCRR rating, multi-discipline breakdowns and ratings and financial context. Uses industry defaults; it does not assess your actual environment.
After completing Industry Defaults, build on that starting point, adjusting your organisation-specific information in eight distinct domains (~500 accessible fields). Refine the rating, compare multi-discipline breakdowns and identify improvement priorities. Scope and commercial terms agreed separately.
Build on the Industry Defaults and Guided findings to compare proposed policy, process or technology changes. Our consultants work with members of one or more of your different operational, data, storage, security and financial teams to assess your elevated resilience goals.
An OCRR assessment supports prioritisation. Operational exercises and technical evidence are needed to validate whether arrangements deliver the required outcome.
Four disciplines. One business view.
Every OCRR journey starts with an Industry Defaults Assessment.

Ransomware Data Protection Vendor Spotlight - NeuShield
Synergy Six believe that organisations need an explicit ransomware data protection solution to protect and recover active data, recovery data, and installed device OS and services during exceptional operations.
These solutions should not replace existing security and data backup and recovery tools.
